Copper Instrumentation Extension Cable & Wire
PVC/Nylon Copper Instrumentation Cable
Individual and Overall Shield
The 600 V Instrumentation Cables are listed as Type TC per UL 1277. These cables are suitable for installations as outlined in NEC 725 and can be used in Accordance with NEC 340. These cables may be installed in wet or dry locations; in cable trays, raceways and pen air; and are suitable for exposure to weather, direct burial and for Class I, Div. 2.
Conductors are insulated with color-coded PVC and a clear nylon insulation jacket, then twisted with a tin/copper drain wire. Next, an Aluminum Mylar tape is wrapped around the individual pairs, followed by another drain and shield. Final layer of overall PVC jacket is applied last. The cable is UL listed Subject 1277 (TC) 600V applications.

PVC Copper Instrumentation Cable
Individual and Overall Shield
TE Wire & Cable Copper Instrumentation Cables are designed for use in NEC Article 725 Class 1 Division 2 Hazardous Location and comply with NEC 725 for use in Class 2 and Class 2 Circuits. TPE insulation option available. Cables with up to 50 pairs and continuous lengths of 5000-10,000 FT are possible. TE Wire & Cable conductor sizes, insulations, and jackets can be mixed and matched to custom design a cable for a specific application.
PVC twisted individual and overall shielded instrumentation cable is ideal for systems sensitive to induced voltage and electrical noise. The twisting of the conductor and the Aluminum/polyester taper shield provides protection against cross talk, static, and magnetic noise in instrumentation circuits. Conductors are insulated with color-coded PVC, then twisted and shielded with individual tin/copper drain wire. Next, an Aluminum Mylar tape is wrapped around the wires with a tin/copper drain wire, followed by a final layer of overall PVC jacket. The wire is UL listed for Power Limited Tray Cable (PLTC) 300V applications.
