Low Drift Webinar - July 11, 2018

Thermocouples are the most frequently used temperature sensor in the heat process and control industries, with the majority of applications falling within the range of 500°C to 1500°C. However, most exhibit high error, packaging problems, high price or a combination of these issues. The dual wall, low-drift type K and type N mineral insulated (MI) thermocouple cable design was developed to improve temperature measurement accuracy, extend thermocouple life and significantly enhance drift characteristics.

The Low Drift MIMS Cable is a breakthrough innovation because:

  • It exhibits significant drift reduction > 80% above 1100 °C
  • It’s still a type K and or type N thermocouple
  • There have been no changes of instrumentation, wiring, or operational procedures
  • Overall the greatest advance in base metal thermocouple technology in the last 50 years!
