Polyimide Tape Insulated Thermocouple Wire
Polyimide Tape is a high-performance insulating tape that is fused to conductors and jackets. Polyimide thermocouple insulation stands out for its exceptional thermal stability, making it suitable for high-temperature applications, excellent electrical insulation properties ensuring accurate temperature measurements, and resistance to various chemicals. Its low outgassing makes it ideal for sensitive environments, while its flexibility allows for the creation of bendable thermocouple cables. Furthermore, polyimide offers dimensional stability, radiation resistance, and low thermal conductivity, enhancing its utility in a wide range of demanding settings where precise and reliable temperature monitoring is essential, from aerospace to nuclear research. FEP is typically used as the adhesive agent during the fusing process. Polyimide Tape products operate up to 500° F (260° C).
